Life is a journey and the universe has a way --perhaps a plan--that you least expect! It is 2018 and I am beginning my 60th solar circumnavigation.  In retrospect. I see life “accomplishments”:  athlete, teacher, masters degree biologist, award winning photographer and as a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. My body is well worn, my mind is loosing its edge, and my heart has been broken open, over and over and over again.  Abrupt life changes was not a choice but became a learned evolution.  At age 35, I gifted myself a weekend  Shambhala Meditation course because I was not happy, I was not good enough and I wanted to feel whole. I stepped onto a journey and for every heart-wrenching trauma experienced over the years, I have found practices and mentors to help me grow, adapt, change and become more conscious.  Surrendering gave me life tools, a new curiosity, and a means to find my own divinity. I am whole, my birthright is happiness and I just need to constantly remember - that all I need is already inside of me! I am perfect as I am! Meditation, qigong, yoga and other mind, body, and spirit healing modalities is the path I least expected.  This journey of wellness and love is a gift and this gift is one of service to be generously given to others.  Sat Nam.

I teach Mind, Body, Spirit Yoga (Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan) and am the creator of the Life Skills Yoga Academy Workshops.  This raj yoga style promotes mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing; connection; wholeness; and self-love.  It is the yoga of awareness and mostly done with eyes closed.  In my classes, students move their bodies and prana  (life force energies) with breath work, kriyas (movement sets), chanting mantra, hand mudras and meditations.  Some classes are deliciously flowing inner peace experiences while others are more like boot camp workouts.  All classes are adaptable to individual needs and all abilities.  Pre-requistes include an open mind to experience and connect to your Sat Nam (True Self).

Qigong Training/Energy Practitioner (2005-2012): Studied Qigong under Ming Tong Gu , Damaris Jarboux, Eva Wong and Ken Cohen (2005-2010): Reiki Levels 1-3 Corrine Cram and Barb Pachla. Yoga (20012-present): Anasara yoga w/Jeanie Manchester and John Friend; Kundalini Yoga w/Sukhraj Kaur Gipple, Guru Jagat; Gurmukh Kaur; Super Health: Yogic Technologies for Addictive Behaviors.  Mukta khalsa Kaur. IKYTA certified. Contemplative Photography and Dharma Arts (2009-present): Miksang Institute and self-taught.
