Date "Fudge" Bars

Ingredients:

20 Pitted Dates
3/4 cup Almond or Peanut Butter

1/4 cup Coconut Oil

3 Tbsp. Baking Cocoa, Maya Nut or Cacao Powder

Directions:

Place dates in a heat proof bowl, cover with boiling water and let stand for 10 minutes or until dates are soft and sticky. Drain excess water then set aside to cool.

Once cooled blend all ingredients in a food processor until a thick, sticky paste forms.

Pat paste into a 8” square baking pan and place in the refrigerator for 3 hours or until bars set.

*this is the basic recipe. add nuts, seeds, dried fruit, etc. to make them more like an energy bar
